Point of No Return

What is the "point of no return?"
In a literal definition, it is the point beyond which someone, or some group of people, must continue on their current course of action, either because turning back is physically impossible, or because to do so would be prohibitively expensive or dangerous.
But what does it mean beyond that? The point of no return is not the same for all of us. It's definition varies from person to person.
Is the point of no return, perhaps, when you've gone in so deep that there is no possible way you could go back, not because you don't want to, but because you can't.
Or is the point of no return when you've just begun but don't know how to go back.
Everyone keeps saying to me

Dani, you have to give things a shot because won't really know anything until you've tried it. You won't regret it.

You're right, it is something I want. But should I really believe them? Is it going to be something that I won't regret? And what do I do about that little voice in my head that keeps telling me to go against it?
What if I lose something most dear to me on the way?
How do you know when to listen to your either brain, heart, or gut?
Sigh...maybe the point of no return is when you've got yourself into something and know you have to get out before you get to that point when you can't take anything back, but you ignore yourself and go in anyway. What do you do when every part of your body is telling you to go, but every other part of your body tells you to stop? You don't really know what you've missed until it's lost, huh.

What really is the point of no return?

A valid question.
We all have experienced this feeling, when your gut starts to tingle, when you sweat at the prospect of knowing what you'll find on the other side of your destination, when you are left adrift in the feeling of hopeful desperation and indecision. How do you define your actions which, ultimately, define you as a person. How do you reach the point of climax in an experience of bliss that will not end?
In order to understand this phenomenon, think yourself a newborn. Deprived of the shelter of your mothers womb, where everything was guaranteed. From the noureshing sustanence to the dark sublime liquid you breathed to the temperature controlled environment. The perfect calm before the storm that is your life to be. Everything is provided, taken care of, NO WORRIES.
Then, out of nowhere, an external force pushes you, urges you, nay blatently shoves, heaves you out without a plea for permission, spits you in to a position of no return. Oh how you scream and beg to be put back in to the comfort Zone, to no avail, with every fiber of your being fighting, clawing to make sense out of the situation and to add injury to insult, you're cold and wet and all these deformities are all around you, shoving their grimaced faces in to your half open eyes. Fear grips your entire being and drives you to exhaustion. Kicking and sreaming the world teaches you to expand your energy at something new, something you have no clue as to the outcome, something you will need to trust to a higher power, because at that point in your life, you are truly helpless. The higher pwer is the same power that conceived you. That was observing you for nine months. From the first devision of a single cell to the life force which you have become and it is all due to you living in the Point of No Return...
Good Question...
